A Life Worth Remembering

Okotie Ajerore Emmanuel

"Welcome

You have arrived at a place built in love — a home for the memory of Papa Okotie Ajerore Emmanuel, fondly remembered by many as "Emperor."
Born on the 9th of February, 1929, in the border town of Ogbese, Edo State, he lived ninety-seven years marked by faith, family, and an unshakeable belief that determination could open any door. He was a teacher who earned his certificates one hard-won pound at a time, a devoted husband to his beloved Queen, and — after the deepest loss a father can carry — a man who raised six children alone and called it grace rather than burden. He believed in showing up, in giving generously, and in wearing both his clothes and his convictions with quiet pride. He prayed Psalm 16 every morning and at his last moment, those promises were fulfilled.
This site is our family's gift to his memory: a place to walk through his story, to see the life he built, and to add your own memory of him if his path ever crossed yours.
Thank you for being here. His story continues — in every one of us he loved.

With love and gratitude, The Okotie Family
